Valparin tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-epileptics and anticonvulsant. It is used to treat epilepsy. Valparin tablets is used to treat various types of seizures and prevent epileptic attacks. Dosage and direction
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't crush or chew the tablet. Follow your doctor's instructions on when to take the tablet. Never take more than your doctor has prescribed.
Precautions

Drug interaction
Valparin (Sodium Valproate / Valproic Acid) may interact with salicylates (eg., aspirin and bismuth subsalicylate), benzodiazepines (eg., diazepam and lorazepam), carbapenem antibiotics (eg., imipenem and meropenem), other anticonvulsants (eg., phenytoin and phenobarbital) and antifungal medicines (eg., ketoconazole and levoketoconazole).
Missed dose
If you forget to take a dose of Valparin tablets, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never increase your dosage without consulting your doctor.
Overdose
If you accidentally take more than the prescribed dose of Valparin, you may experience symptoms like nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness. It's important not to panic but to inform your doctor about this.
Storage
Store Valparin tablet in its original packaging at room temperature below 30°C. Keep this medicine away from direct light, heat, and moisture. Always keep it out of the reach and sight of children.
